Multiplier event 2018 in Galway, Ireland
The DEIMP Erasmus+ Galway Multiplier was held on October 19th, 2018 in the School of
Education, National University of Ireland Galway.
The event was well attended with representation from eight schools: Coláiste Mhuire, Thurles,
County Tipperary; Scoil Bhríde, Shantalla, Galway; Glenamaddy Community College, Co.
Galway; Gaelcholaiste Reachrann, Co.Dublin; Coláiste Pobail Osraí, Co. Kilkenny; Gaelcholáiste
an Phiarsaigh, Co. Dublin; Meanscoil Gharman, County Wexford as well as representation from
the School of Education, NUI Galway.
The day began with an overview of the project thus far which included a workshop on the SLR
terms from the systematic literature review.
This was followed by a presentation from Glenamaddy Community School (Aoife Burke & Brigid
Lyons) on their successful K1 application which was really well recieved by all delegates.
Ray Kirtley presented by Zoom conference and shared great insights into the K1 travel application
process.
Examples of sample mobile scenarios were also demonstrated and experienced.
The day concluded with a professional learning workshop by Seán Ó Grádaigh which featured
recent iPad in Education updates for Keynotes, Pages and Numbers.
It was a most enjoyable day and delegates left excited.
They completed the survey and left Galway looking forward to testing the mobile scenarios in their
schools.
